Requested by

Friends of Stone Circle Foundation

Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

The project is to train rural youth and women in Gambia in modern agricultural techniques, horticulture, animal husbandry, poultry management and solar energy installation.

We are trying to address the issues of unemployment, lack of productive skills especially in agriculture, illiteracy among youths, poverty, crime reduction and malnutrition.

Ultimately, the project will result in the development of rural farmers and sustainable job creation for rural youth.

What is your project and how will it help?

The project is focused on practical skills training in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and poultry management and solar energy installation:

1) The project will create employment opportunities among the youths.
2) It will create a source of income and self reliance for youth and women in rural areas.
3) It will also create links and interaction among the beneficiaries.
4) It will reduce illiteracy among youth.
5) It will help to reduce poverty, malnutrition and hunger in the rural areas.

Eventually, the project will result in government recognition and financial empowerment for youth and women in rural areas.

How can other people partner with you on your project?

Others can partner with us by giving direct or indirect support by providing funding, infrastructure and/or material support.

Partners can equally join hands with the organization to raise funds and materials for the smooth implementation of the project.
