Clean cookstove in action

This video is about a project carried out by Kopernik in the community of Pucung, Indonesia, introducing new clean cookstoves to the villagers.

Corn husk, wood chips and coconut shell can be used as fuel in this new biomass stove. All those materials are easily found around the village, easing the work burden of poor women living in rural areas of Semarang as they will no longer have to spend time looking for firewood or purchasing it. At the same time, deforestation in the region can be slowed.
