Requested by

Kyamakungu Rural Orphans Organisation Against Illiteracy

Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

We are trying to help rural people with disabilities in our community.
Most of these people are orphans as well as being disabled. They are able to operate simple businesses but they lack capital to assist them to start a business.

What is your project and how will it help?

Our project is " a savings and credit scheme for people with disabilities".
It will assist people with disabilities to improve their lives through becoming more self-reliant. They will also become more integrated into the general community through their businesses. Running their own business will also help to gain them respect from other members of the community.

People with disabilities will gain self-esteem.

How can other people partner with you on your project?

The orphans in the community will be very ready to partner with us.
The local leaders in our area assist us in mobilisation.

Other people can help us by proving funds for the project.
