Arasan Rural Development Society (ARDS), is a non-profit, non-political and charitable grass-root level organization.

ARDS has been working last 3 decades for the welfare and development of the poor and weaker sections of the society empowerment of women, education to children and care and support to distress are the prime objectives of the organization as well as promote gender equality, social justice and children’s rights in which women and other marginalized communities are free from unemployment, poverty, illiteracy and ignorance.

ARDS visualizes a society where peace, gender justice, equal
opportunities for women and children prevail with safe environment and abundant living through holistic development.

Mission:

Working with weaker and marginalized sections of the society with special focus on women, children, disabled and senior citizens for participatory inclusive development.

To eradicate poverty and empower the disadvantaged sections of the society through holistic education and providing them with sustainable livelihood.

Providing micro credit to achieve economic independence and gender equality of women.

Building alliances and networks among NGOs/Government and CBOs.

Encouraging environment-friendly development alternatives with human values for better future for nature and humanity as a whole.
