The Sir Ratan Tata trust is a charitable foundation that operates in accordance with its benefactor’s will and specific instructions. Besides institutional grants, the Trust also makes individual grants for education and medical relief. The Trust’s practice is to give grants to individuals and organisations engaged in developmental and creative activities, and not to undertake such activities on its own. Situated in Bombay, it is part of the Tata Group’s philanthropic foundations.
