New Library Function: Search by Field of Activity - October, 2004

Looking for partners in your humanitarian endeavours? Global Hand has now developed a new function to help.

In our Library, we list many organisations which, in the past, you could sort according to the country where they are at work.

Now, in addition, you can sort according to their field of activity, e.g. refugee care, educational provision, community development, aged care, medical care, shelter & housing provision, etc.

Simply visit the Global Hand Library and click on 'Search by Field of Activity' in the green left hand column.

(N.B. The pictures on this page are from Global Hand version 1. On Global Hand version 2 the Field of Activity page looks slightly different.)

What Do I Click On?

Step 1:

Click on Library tab at the top of any page of the site.

Step 2:

Click on "Search by Field of Activity" in the green menu on the left.
(In total, we list 25 different fields of activity, and over a 1000 organisations and resources.)

Step 3:

Select an activity of interest. You will be presented with a list of all groups.

Step 4:

Click on "Select country" box if you would like to narrow your search to a particular location.

Any Suggestions?

We are continuing to build our library. If you have any suggestions for resources to add to a field of activity page, or if you would like to list your organisation on a particular page, please let us know at: developers@globalhand.org.

Need To Update Your Organisation's Fields Of Activity/Country Info?

If you would like to update your fields of activity, or countries of operation, on our site, you can do so by using the My Global Hand section in the Using GH section of Global Hand.
