The Huruma Rehabilitation Programme is an organisation based in Shinyanga, Tanzania. It was founded in 1994 to help marginalised women within the community. The mission of the organisation is to improve women’s standard of living and their goal is to see that women in the project are treated with love, respect, and courtesy. Huruma has six board members, three staff members, and two volunteers. They collaborate with local community organisations, Oxfam, YADEC, and WEGCC. The Huruma Rehabilitation Programme has provided loans and currently they are working on distributing clothing and food.
