Fish Farming Project in Uganda

Requested by

Media For Excellence

Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

Uganda has the second largest lake in the world, which also contributes about 30% of the national income. This income is earned from fishing activities that take place in the area. The main fishing district is Kalangala which also doubles as Uganda’s biggest island.

This is an island district in a remote area. It takes much more time for the government to fulfill most of its promises to the district and the district can’t sustain itself without having all these projects fulfilled.

The area has poor fish farming methods and the people need to be taught about better fish farming methods which could help them achieve more income so as to have a better and developing Kalangala island district.

What is your project and how will it help?

We seek to teach the people in the district about better fish farming methods that could help the district develop.

How can other people partner with you on your project?

You can partner with us by helping to provide equipment and funding that could help improve our project.

Please detail the resources that you need.

All resources needed are detailed in the document attached. We require a total of 48,000 USD.
