Help needed to drill wells the Tanga and Manyara regions in Tanzania.

Requested by

World Wide Evangelistic Church

Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

Various regions in Tanzania are facing an acute water shortage. Our organisation is requesting help to drill simple wells among the Maasai Tribes in the Tanga and Manyara Regions. The water is reachable at a depth of 10 meters but not safe as it is shared with cattle, and the water is contaminated. The people have been using their hand hoes and managed to reach water at the depth of 6-10 metres,

Our church has a small water well driller (LS 100) but it cannot go deep and it needs repair.

The population we want to help is more than 600,000.

What is your project and how will it help?

Our project is to drill about 6 wells to serve these people. As I visited the people, so if such wells are funded we can go to a greater depth.

How can other people partner with you on your project?

They can fund us and we will look for a drilling rig (the reliable,) travel to Kilindi and Kiteto Districts to drill the wells.

Please detail the resources that you need.

We estimate that each well will cost about US 6,000/= to 12,000/=, as it depends on which company is drilling.
