Improving children's opportunity to education in Zambia
Requested by
global outreach ministriesWho are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?
We are trying to help vulnerable children to continue their secondary school education after finishing their primary school by empowering their parents, who are in this case mostly widows.
Our church has a community school to help the vulnerable children. We have observed that these children we help only go up to grade 7, when they pass to go to secondary school they fail to continue due to the fact that their parents cannot afford to meet their needs in terms of funds. Hence we came up with a project which will be supporting the widows so their children can continue to study.
What is your project and how will it help?
The project attempt to enable their children’s further education, through the profit from the products produces on sewing and knitting machines. In the future we have plans to extend the school up to grade twelve by building another class room block for our community school.
How can other people partner with you on your project?
By either buying us sewing and knitting machines or donating second hand machines.
Please detail the resources that you need.
Sewing machines 5 × 833 = 4,165 USD
Knitting machines 5 × 462 = 2,310 USD
Start up capital = 500 USD
Grand total: 6,975 USD
