Solidarité Internationale pour l'AfriqueWho are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?
The project is about the construction of five classrooms, a direction, a block of three latrines, fencing, electrification and installation of a borehole in the village of Kabe in the rural town of Djidian. The project falls within the general framework of the program “Contribution to the eradication of poverty and enhancing human security” through children’s access to the basic services of education and answers the question of the right to education for all.
Indeed, children from remote villages such as Kabe suffer from difficult conditions when it comes to access to education (recruitment biennial ninety (90) students in first year), due to the capacity of the school, and continuing their education (second cycle). Kabe and the villages are associated with 45kms of Kati and are spaced at intervals of 5, 10, 15 or 20 km from each other, and are part of the rural town of Kabe.
What is your project and how will it help?
This project aims to strengthen the capacity of the school enrollment of Kabe, for an annual recruitment, which will allow access to a larger number of children in these villages to education.
In other localities the second cycle is costly to the public, and also to the children, causing a loss in recent times to and from the abandonment, due to lack of financial support from the parents. Education for all is a challenge to rise by 2015, the realization of such a project will help reduce illiteracy, but also to achieve the objectives of this initiative adapted by the member states of UNESCO.
It should be noted that this population, if concerned about the education of these children, only received financial support from FAEF by the construction of three classrooms.
