Support war victims and orphans in Northern Uganda
Requested by
Pader Orphans Caring ProjectWho are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?
We are trying to help orphans, needy children, disabled, elderly and teen-age mothers. We seek to provide sustainable solution to community needs, complementing our long-term work with individuals in areas recovering from long term war, and the resulting felt wounds. Problems include weakened, education systems, lack of health care, poor sanitation, lack of clean water and lack of work opportunities. We strive to empower devastated communities to overcome the challenges and rise up.
We support orphans, child soldiers, and child mothers in school, providing meals for children. We provide medical treatment to children in orphanage homes, training communities on health care. We target communities to develop safe water sources and sanitation systems to break the diseases and contamination cycles. We support teen-age mothers in projects to generate income to sustain them and their children. We support people who got wounded during war such as landmine victims and many other victims caused during LRA war.
