Oasis Charitable Trust (OCT) is a not for profit organization based in Delhi India, with a commendable service of over four years in enabling self reliance for the poor and downtrodden and promoting socio-cultural values of its clientele from different parts of the country. Over a period of four years, the Trust has critically impacted the lives of around 3,000 families from three states. The chief beneficiaries of the Trust are the ultra poor people living in very abysmal conditions. Our services in the forms of Education, Community Health, Self Help groups & Micro Finance are reaching out to the underprivileged people of five underdeveloped areas in Delhi and five most backward villages in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Our Self Help Groups & Micro Finance Program has become the lifeline of all these target areas.
What is your project and how will it help?
There are a lot of things under the projects of OCT. We educate the very poor and needy children from the slums and the poor villages. Provide them with medical and material help. OCT has been carried on training programmes for the very poor and the needy girls from the slums and the villages on sewing machines, and computers. To help self-employment of the poor, sewing machines, computers, etc. are freely distributed. In very cold climatic conditions, necessary cloths and sweaters are distributed. Periodical medical camps are organized for the poor people. New homes are built and distributed for the homeless. In different parts of the country, Self Help Groups are organized that make the poor people improve financially. Supplementary education programme for the very poor children are conducted. Extremely helpless children are sponsored for their education, health and career.
