Blythswood Care
(Verified non-profit organisation)
Phil Shorthouse says: Blythswood Care is a 44 year old Scottish Christian International relief aid charity.
Our main areas of operation are Eastern Europe and The Balkans, although we have some projects in Africa,India and Pakistan.
In Serbia we have a major project refurbishing general hospitals, Specialist Rehabilitation Hospitals and Old peoples homes.
We regularly send 44 tonne trucks of aid to Serbia and other countries. In fact one left Rochester today, with medical equipment, supplies and furniture.
We are always in need of uniforms and hospitals curtains.
Many of the Directors of the hospitals we help have been able to use their meagre budgets to provide new Analytical, Blood Transfusion equipment, because we are able to supply basic equipment, hospital beds, crutches, wheelchairs, uniforms etc.
We have another medical lorry leaving on the 22nd April, from Rochester, and I fly out to help distribute the goods on the 25th April.
We have our UK South depot based in Rochester and have a van, so we can collect.
We are very interested in this offer.
