The Arbeiterwohlfarht (AWO), or Workers Welfare Institution, is a service organization dedicated to promoting worker welfare. This is accomplished by pursuing projects in a number of areas, including elderly care, youth services, migration counseling, as well as community development. The Bezirksverband Hannover chapter of the AWO carries out AWO activities within the district of Hannover.
