Education for 70 children in SOS Children’s Village in El Salvador
Requested by
Aldeas Infantiles SOS - El SalvadorWho are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?
Education is to SOS Children’s Villages a key aspect, that is why we offer educational assistance to children and youth that are in our programmes: Family Strengthening programme and Family based care programme, and also to vulnerable children from the communities we work with. In this way, our help is destined to assure access to education by covering costs such as school fees, material and uniforms for children and youth.
What is your project and how will it help?
The project’s objective is to guarantee the right of education to our 70 children from the SOS Children’s Village Santa Tecla. Due to global economy crisis we are receiving less subsidy of KDI International and the contributions of our local SOS Friends have decreased, as a consequence the financial resources for education have considerably gone down.
The financial situation reduces the capability to invest on didactic materials, uniforms and other costs related to education.
How can other people partner with you on your project?
Donate school supplies or money to cover school costs a year for the 70 children in SOS Children’s Village Santa Tecla.
Please detail the resources that you need.
