Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

We have medical equipment that we want to send to our partners on the ground in Haiti for emergency response there. We need help with transporting the items from UK to USA and also funding.

We need to quickly airfreight the medical equipment from Newcastle (or we can bring to any airport in the UK) to our Mercy Truck mobile medical unit currently near Newark, Pennsylvania. This could be either Newark (EWR), Philadelphia (PHL) or Harrisburg (MDT). We are then driving it down to Miami and then ferry down to the port of St Marc in Haiti (avoiding Port-au-Prince.

Our colleagues in Haiti are desperate for the equipment that we have here in Hexham, UK. It is extremely upsetting and stressful on the volunteers undertaking operations without aesthetic and the basic equipment and supplies.

Any help that could be provided either financially to cover the cost, or in providing the airfreight would be most welcome.
