The Brazilian Red Cross Society is a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. In accordance with its mandate, the organisation acts in times of peace and war in partnership with civilian populations and the military to improve health through care and training programmes and by organising emergency services in accordance with the Geneva Convention.
