World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities in the fight against poverty and for social justice. World Vision has been working in Costa Rica since 1985 in education, health and economic and social awareness within communities. Currently the organisation sponsors workshops on domestic violence and on agriculture, and runs health awareness campaigns. The organisation also contributes to the national emergency relief and disaster mitigation programme. The Hope Project focuses on children who have experienced domestic violence and other abuse.
