The Hanns-Seidel-Foundation(HSF) is a non-profit political with the aim of fostering living conditions around the world that enable people to live in dignity, thus making a contribution to eradicating poverty. Its large range of political education promotes citizens’ engagement in democracy, rule of law, and social market economy. With numerous development projects and fosterage of international exchange of opinion, the foundation concentrates on the consolidation of free democratic basic order, on the assurance of peace, and on the support for international understanding. It sees its task in the analysis of political contexts, the promotion of democracy, peace and development cooperation, the elaboration of academic groundwork on which to base political action, and the bringing together of multipliers and experts. HSF also provides academic scholarships to students from Germany and abroad.
