Light Zimbabwe is a social enterprise in Zimbabwe that provides high quality solar lamps at affordable prices to people living in areas without electricity. The organisation either rents lamps to families at below market prices, or allows them to purchase lamps over a two-year period. Any profits made from the sale of the lamps is reinvested in theenterprise.
Light Zimbabwe focuses on rural Zimbabwean communities with high poverty rates and targets school children and child headed households in particular, as they can use the lamps to improve their academic performance.
