Aruco-Uganda is a community development organisation operating in remote and hard to reach areas such as islands, and areas with limited access in terms of transport. The organisation works with vulnerable women, particularly rural entrepreneurs, helping them to better understand their businesses and manage them efficiently. Aruco provides adult education and business training, runs a micro-credit scheme, offers health insurance and promotes saving and agriculture.

All work is done in small groups thus building social capital.

The organization has a total of 300 women as members.
