The Karura Community Development Initiative (KKCDI) is a community-based organisation dedicated to the fight against poverty in the Kikuyu Constituency in Kenya. The aim of the KKCD is to empower members and residents to achieve their full potential. The organisation has established a revolving fund that is being used to run a Community Bursary Fund to help students complete their secondary education and to assist households to access clean water from a borehole. The Fund will also be used to create
employment especially for young people, and to support the disadvantaged, including orphans, the elderly and other needy people.
