Nova Romaska Nada (New Roma Hope) is a Bosnian NGO established to assist with the improvement of the socio-economic status of Roma people at the local level. The organisation focuses on education, medical care, housing and employment, with a strong emphasis on gender equality and the democratic process. Projects already completed include “Let’s tailor our future” through which 10 Roma women were taught how to use sewing machines to make bed linen, a family planning project for women, and a project on democratic education and leadership. Other projects have focused on education for Roma children in partnership with Save the Children UK, and health care.
