Coca-Cola partners with Red Cross to support relief efforts in Myanmar

To support the relief efforts in Myanmar, The Coca-Cola Foundation Thailand worked with Thai humanitarian and government organizations to provide 240,000 bottles of Namthip bottled water to the victims of Cyclone Nargis.

Half of the bottles were donated to the Thai Red Cross Society as part of the Foundation’s existing ‘Namthip gives to Red Cross’ partnership. Another 120,000 bottles of Namthip water were donated to Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health, which collected donations of drinking water and canned food from the Thai public to be transported to Myanmar. The water was transported by truck to Myanmar via the Chiang Rai border, accompanied by officials from the Thai Red Cross and associates from Coca-Cola bottler ThaiNamthip Ltd.
