Holistic Rehabilitation And Skills Development Centre

Unverified non-profit organisation

Holistic Rehabilitation And Skills Development Centre is a faith based non-profit organization with a vision of empowering the marginalized communities which are poverty stricken and impoverished. Therefore they are able to address their poverty challenges and the skills learnt promote the wellbeing, sustainability and better livelihood life.
They focus on vulnerable and orphaned children to access a holistic education and also the marginalized women to get engaged in home-based developmental income-generating projects.

The Centre strives to make sure that vulnerable children can access primary education. Their rehabilitation care centre has got 170 vulnerable children from primary one to primary seven.
They also have a program of imparting life skills to young youth who due to poverty were not able to access a high education. Many children have been empowered by being picked from street and helped to access education thus reducing the incidence of street children.
They empower the marginalized youth with some vocational skills to help them achieve a self-reliant life.

They also have an empowerment program for less privileged women, by teaching them in doing some income generating projects like keeping chicken, piggery projects, bee keeping, passion fruit growing and art work related skills. Many women have been empowered in learning some skills like doing beads products eg. hand bags, earrings, bangles and many other related products of beads.
Some have been empowered in making wedding cakes, saloon work, mats and baskets.

Such programs are developed to empower the marginalized women, children, and youth to help them out of poverty and give them a hope to live a wellbeing life and better livelihood.
They aim to reach every community member who happens to get inspired with their impact.
