World Food Programme (WFP) - Asia

Set-up in 1963, WFP is the United Nations front line agency in the fight against global hunger. WFP uses its food to meet emergency needs and support economic and social development. It also provides the logistics support necessary to get food aid to the right people at the right time and in the right place. In 2004, WFP fed 113 million people in 80 countries, including most of the world’s refugees and internally displaced people.
