Lutheran World Federation (LWF) - Sierra Leone

The LWF is a global communion of Christian churches in the Lutheran tradition. Founded in 1947 in Lund, Sweden, the LWF now has 145 member churches in 79 countries all over the world representing over 70 million Christians. In Sierra Leone, Lutheran World Federation (LWF) assists displaced and marginalised people affected by conflict to relieve their suffering and restore their dignity while fostering capacities of local partners. LWF is also involved in relief and rehabilitation activities to Liberian refugees in Sierra Leone, including agricultural rehabilitation, rehabilitation of social infrastructure, distribution of donated non food items, camp management and transportation of returnees/refugees and relief commodities.
