Uwezekano Initiatives is a Kenyan NGO working with grassroots communities to promote socio-economic empowerment and development of the less priveledged. The organisation endeavours to develop knowledge and capacity of vulnerable groups through training,support and information sharing in order to help them realize their full potential by exploiting local opportunities and thereby effecting positive changes in society.

The organisation works on a range of programmes including water and sanitation, community capacity building, support for the disabled and HIV/AIDS, environmental protection, education, youth and women’s empowerment.

Uwezekano Initiatives aims to work towards the achievement of the Millenium Development Goals.
