The Spastic Children’s Association of Singapore (SCAS) provides special education, rehabilitation services, vocational training and gainful employment for children and adults with cerebral palsy in Singapore. Special education was introduced with the setting up of a school in 1966, a resource utilised today by over 250 children with cerebral palsy and related conditions between the ages of 5 and 18, who are not able to benefit from mainstream education. A workshop providing sheltered employment for adults with cerebral palsy was established in 1984.
