The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is an international humanitarian organization providing assistance to people in need. ADRA-Czech Republic(CR) strives to increase the level of life and health of inhabitants of the Czech Republic, developing countries and all people who needed her help. In the Czech Republic, ADRA implements educational programs, which aim to raise awareness of children and young people about the problems of developing countries and development cooperation. ADRA also administers a number of volunteer centers focused on helping the disabled and seniors, shelters and psychosocial intervention teams. Foreign projects are two types, either humanitarian, focusing on immediate assistance to countries affected by natural or other disaster, or development to ensure sustainable development of the locality in which the project is implemented. Its primary mission is to help people in need so that they can take control over their own lives and to make best use of those resources that are available.
