Caritas Internationalis - Singapore

Unverified non-profit organisation

CSCC was set up in November 2006 as the Archdiocesan arm for social and community outreach. Its mission is to help provide leadership to the Catholic community in Singapore in fulfilling the Church’s social mission for the benefit of the broader community.

As an enabling body, CSCC works with the Catholic charities and social groups to ensure that those in need in the community are effectively served. It mobilizes funds, resources and other support from the catholic community to fulfil the Church’s charitable works. CSCC also runs formation programmes to communicate and educate the broader Catholic community on the Church’s Social teachings.

The member organisations under the CSCC umbrella do work for the poor and those in need. They offer programmes and services such as food relief, scholarship aid, legal clinics, residential care and shelters, student care, nursing homes, hospice care, counseling, help lines, family workshops, humanitarian aid and others. Their work touches the lives of more than 50,000 beneficiaries of different races, languages and religion and across various constituencies of needs such as:
•The poor and destitute
•Prisoners
