The Community Poverty Reduction and Environment Conservation Trust (COPRECOT)is an NGO in Tanzania. The Trust works on wildlife conservation issues, including the protection of habitats and the provision of training for people who live near game reserves, encouraging them to use renewable energy, e.g. cooking with solar cookers and cookers that use biomass gas instead of wood from forest areas. The Trust also provides people with dairy goats on a revolving loan basis, and raises funds to help people keep bees, thus helping to protect the environment, lessen poaching and deforestation. We also empower rural smallholder farmers through training for increased food security and nutrition
