Youth With A Mission (YWAM), founded in 1960, is an international interdenominational Christian organisation, operating in more than 900 locations in over 140 countries, with a staff of over 11,000. YWAM aims to spread the love of God through helping with the practical and physical needs of people around the world and training Christians to serve others in a variety of fields.

YWAM Tokyo runs an intensive Christian discipleship course beginning with an 11 or 12-week lecture/teaching phase followed by an 8-12 week practical field assignment. The training is designed to encourage students in personal character development, cultivate their relationship with God, and provide them with cross-cultural exposure and global awareness.
