Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) conducts humanitarian activities in Nepal. Its primary objective is to alleviate / reduce human suffering without discrimination on grounds of religion, race, sex, class, caste, tribe, nationality or political belief. Activities include a blood transfusion service, ambulance service and a disaster response and preparedness service. Community-based programs include capacity building, drinking water, first aid, HIV/AIDS and eye care programmes. NRCS promotes and protects the principles of the Red Cross Movement and International Humanitarian Law.
