Constructing a Community Multi-purpose Centre, South Africa
Requested by
Christian Fellowship Healing ChurchWho are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?
We are trying to address the problems of young people who are not sure what to do and of others in Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. Our project will target both young and old who are affected by HIV/AIDS. We are trying to address communities who need skills to fight poverty.
What is your project and how will it help?
We would like to construct a community multi-purpose centre, through which assistance can be provided in the following ways: training for home based care (peer education); training for young people and adults in computing, welding or building skills and garden work. This project will help to train volunteers who will go out to schools, prisons, and mines to raise awareness.
Lastly this project will help people with HIV/AIDS whose families do not wish to care for them.
How can other people partner with you on your project?
They will help us to get more sponsors for the project and help us with advice as far as the project is concerned. They will be the part of the project and become members of the committee.
Please detail the resources that you need.
Firstly we need steel structure for the multi-purpose centre. It will accommodate one kitchen, one dining hall, one board room, one conference hall, one library, one community hall, four offices and one gymnasium hall. It will cost approximately US $ 850,000 to construct the steel structure.
