STOP THE TRAFFIK was founded in 2006 by Steve Chalke MBE as a campaign coalition which aims to bring an end to human trafficking worldwide. It is a global movement of individuals, communities and organisations fighting to prevent human trafficking around the world.

Initially Stop The Traffik was set up as a two year campaign to coincide with the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade. The campaign intended to:
-Educate: create awareness and understanding of people trafficking
-Advocate: engage with those who have the power to minimise the trafficking of people
-Fundraise: Financing anti-trafficking work around the world working with those vulnerable to and those who have been trafficked

Its mission is to inspire, inform, equip and mobilise communities to:
-Know what trafficking is and how to identify it
-Know how to protect themselves and others
-Know how to respond

Stop The Traffik now has over 45,000 members in 257 countries around the world.
