Edison International contributes to Asian Tsunami disaster relief

It is not often that the world’s collective sense of solidarity and compassion is captured by a single event. The earthquake-spawned tsunami that ravaged so many countries in southern Asia and eastern Africa in December 2004 was one such event. Proving once again how committed they are to making a difference when disaster hits, the Edison employees and the SCE affinity groups quickly kicked into gear and launched a coordinated effort aimed at raising funds through four non-profit relief agencies: the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, International Relief Teams, and World Vision. Edison employees and Edison International contributed a combined total of nearly $190,000 to this extraordinary fundraising effort.
