Sanctuary Australia Foundation

Unverified non-profit organisation

The Sanctuary Australia Foundation’s mission is to provide victims of war the opportunity for a safe and hopeful future with dignity, regardless of race, religion or creed. Sanctuary sponsors and assists refugees to resettle in Australia who have often come from desperate situations overseas. On arrival, these refugees are assisted with accommodation, furniture, food, clothing and are generally welcomed into the community.

Sanctuary helps to relocate refugees by helping with interest-free airfare loans which they can pay back once settled, over two or more years, and the money is then used to loan to additional refugee families in need of assistance. Sanctuary also provides logistical assistance, through liaising with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (IAC) overseas on their behalf.
