Founded in 1979, Defence for Children International (DCI) works in over 60 countries to protect the rights of children. DCI monitors states on their respect for children’s rights, investigating specific situations of abuse, supplies information through publications and its documentation centre and assists in the drafting of legislation, training and the evaluation of policies and practices.
