LifeSpring Hospitals help to achieve Millennium Development Goals in India

LifeSpring Hospitals, a privately owned company, is increasing access to maternal health care for low-income Indian women in partnership with Business Call to Action, a global initiative that works to motivate businesses to design responsible investments that help to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

LifeSpring opened its first hospital in 2005 in Moula Ali, on the outskirts on Hyderabad. Within two years the hospital made a profit and by February 2010, 5,500 healthy babies had been delivered. Now LifeSpring hospitals will increase their reach from 9 to 200 hospitals, to provide health care to 82,000 Indian women and their families.
