Catholic Relief Services (CRS) was founded in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and disadvantaged outside the country. In Peru, CRS supports projects designed to transform unjust economic, political and social structures and promote the common good and dignity of all Peruvians. Long-term programming goals include promoting awareness and support for these changes, both within Peru and the U.S. Catholic community.
