Oxfam GB is a member of Oxfam International, a confederation of 13 organisations working world-wide to combat poverty and to promote social justice. Oxfam has been working in Chile since the 1950’s. Current programmes focus on long term development and advocacy. Oxfam works with groups of the poorest people in the country, including seasonal workers in the fruit industry, helping them to organise and lobby for labour rights and social security.
