Oxfam International is a development and relief agency that helps people worldwide in the struggle against poverty. It is a confederation of 12 organisations working together with over 3000 partners in more than 100 countries to find lasting solutions to poverty, suffering and injustice. Oxfam India works with poor communities, local partner organisations, volunteers, and supporters to help people overcome their problems and know their basic human rights. Its main activities include disaster preparedness, humanitarian response, advocacy and lobbying work to influence policies, and co-ordinating action between different agencies.
