Women for Women’s Human Rights – New Ways (WWHR), founded in 1993, works toward the promotion of women human rights on a national, regional and international scale and encourages the active participation of women in the political process. WWHR concentrates its advocacy and research efforts on the areas of women’s human rights training, sexual and reproductive rights, eliminating violence against women, international women’s solidarity and women’s rights in Turkey. In 1999, WWHR was awarded the AWID Leading Solutions Award by the Association of Women in Development for its contributions in the advancement of gender equality and social justice.
