UNDP is the UN’s global development network – an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. It currently operates in 166 countries. In Urugauy, UNDP is helping the country to develop programmes and solutions to the challenges of: democratic governance; poverty reduction; crisis prevention and recovery; environment and energy; and HIV/AIDS. Additionally, cross priority areas also include: empowerment of the woman; human rights; and the development of capacities for efficient public management.
