The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the the United Nations’ global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience, and resources to build a better life. UNDP has a presence in supporting national development efforts in more than 160 countries. Its current priority is to help all countries achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) before or by 2015.

In Mexico, the UNDP implements various activities focusing on the fight against poverty, gender inequality, promotion of democratic culture, environmental preservation, disaster preparation and response, and strengthening of technical cooperation between the public and private sectors for economic development.
