Founded in 1951, World Education is a private voluntary organisation providing multi-sectoral non-formal education. World Education works in over 50 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the United States. In the northern regions of Gao, Kidal and Tombouctou. In Mali, World Education provides mother-daughter literacy classes, scholarships to primary school girls, cutting-edge light technology projectors for dark classrooms, lesson materials including microfilm, finances study groups and sponsors mentoring and gender equity awareness activities.
