The Namungongo Youth and Women Development Association (YWDAN) is a community-based NGO registered with the Wakiso District Authority, Uganda. They have four basic areas of operation
1. basic education
2. primary health
3. economic empowerment
4. environmental protection campaigns

The organisation has helped to provide clean water to the community by developing 50 protected well springs.

YWDAN is involved in the following activities:

- vocational skills training
- water and sanitation
- functional adult literacy
- care and support to the elderly and needy
- community health

Some of the achievements made include:

- establishment of a vocational skills training centre
- development of over 50 protected spring wells
- training of over 500 persons in water and sanitation
- support to the elderly, the sick and orphans and others

Donors have trusted her, and so they keep an active presence in the field.
