United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Sri Lanka’s main objective is to support the country in the major socio-economic aspects of achieving durable peace, including the attainment of national Millennium Development Goal targets. UNDP’s assistance to Sri Lanka has four main areas: Peace and Transitional Recovery, Democratic Governance and Human Rights, Poverty Reduction, Energy, Environment and Disaster Risk Management, and HIV/AIDs assistance.
